![]() Contrast was the first thing everyone mentioned when it was updated. It definitely preserves the highlights even if they background and not critical so sometimes you have to adjust the exposure or highlights. Has anybody noticed that when you use Auto preset it gives slightly different result than Auto button itself? I wander why? Very fast to correct though!įor me it is contrast mostly, but depending on image I might tweak other aspects also. Do you find that typically there is anything in particular you still have to change on a regular basis after hitting Auto? For me it still pulls the highlights and contrast down a bit too far, and perhaps the Vibrancy up too much. I agree, it seems to be giving me a great start. Worse than LR 4 and 5 and worse than LR CC which I had before, but now 7.4 runs better without the weird problems that were introduced in 7.0. Ever since 7.0 LR has been rather buggy and glitchy. Every time there was a new version that came out since 7.1 I have tried AUTO tone, but 7.4 seems to be the first version that is better.ħ.4 was mostly about bug fixes and I am very glad of that. I still usually tweak a little, but I rarely get that strong HDR look anymore so now I am using it a lot more. ![]() With 7.4 though it seems to work much better. Usually a very strong, over the top HDR effect so it would require so much adjustment that just starting from zero was often easier and faster. ![]() When I started this thread 7 months ago when the new AUTO tone was introduced in 7.1 it rarely gave me results that I thought were even close to what I wanted. I think that AUTO tone may have been improved in 7.4. ![]()
